This weekend marked the official birthday of Emma. Three years ago we were so blessed with such a perfect little angel. As a preview of her big throw down next weekend, we had a little get together over at grandma and grandpa's house... Lasagna, Dora cake, and plenty of fun presents to go around. Happy birthday bug... You are quite an amazing three year old.

What a Fantastic Fireworks Night!

Keeping with the "All about Emma" theme this weekend, we took time on the 3rd to head down to downtown Rowlett to see the street fair and enjoy the fireworks. Abby stayed back at home with Grandpa so that gave us no worries at all with our little THREE year old. This was Emma's first fireworks show... She was totally jacked and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

The Kids Love the Pool

We are finding out just how much Abby loves the pool. Emma has always been kinda lukewarm, but Abby loves to splash! Even this year, Emma seems to be gaining confidence with her water wings. E will be starting this years' swimming lessons this week. We are looking forward to her trying to go under very soon.

The Pool is Officially Open

We had a great time on Memorial Day with a few friends, great food, and cold water. The pool is open for another year and we expect to spend a ton of time in the cool blue water. This past weekend, the girls got to play with their friends Jonah and Harper and meet their new neighbor Rachel.

A Fun Trip to Grammy's

We headed up north to Oklahoma to see Grammy. Emma and Abby got to see their cousin Zach and their Great Granddad as well. Plus no trip to Grammy's would be complete without playing in her garden and visiting the park.

The Texas Bluebonnets

So we have this really amazing patch of bluebonnets near our house. It has been so much fun over the years seeing Emma grow up through bluebonnet pics. This year we get to introduce Abby into the yearly tradition. The day was a little windy but the sky was clear. If you look close at the pics, it is really amazing how similar Abby looks like Emma did in the exact setting two years ago. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's a few thousand words for your pleasure.

Wonderful Snowy Day

We had a wonderful snowy day this past weekend. Emma really got to enjoy the snow like never before. There was snow last January, but she was just to young to like it. This time was very very different.

We went sledding, built a snowman, had snowball fights, and just really enjoyed the cold snowy time.

Maybe we will get some more before the winter is over. I know one little girl who is hoping too.

Happy Birthday Grammy!

Emma got to help Grammy blow out the candles and open the presents on Saturday. Emma picked out a really cool neck massager for Grammy and Abby got her a bright pink Snuggie.

It was a great way to end the Thanksgiving weekend visit.
